Enjoying a Painkiller cocktail is good for what ails you.
Similar to the Piña Colada, the Painkiller is a sweet and fruity rum cocktail that goes down easy on a hot summer day. It is the signature drink of the British Virgin Islands, where it was created in the early 1970s at the Soggy Dollar Bar. The recipe was later trademarked by Pusser's Rum, which is the preferred brand to use when making this tasty tipple, but any kind of dark rum will do the trick.
The Painkiller is a simple cocktail to make. Just fill your shaker with your ingredients, give it a good and thorough shake, and pour it into your favorite glass or tiki mug. The grated nutmeg garnish adds a little spice and makes for the perfect finishing touch.
