Hot Toddy Cocktail Recipe

Simple but effective, the Hot Toddy is the perfect cocktail to help cure what ails you on cold winter’s day.

Hot Toddies (also commonly referred to as “Hot Tottys,” “Hot Totties,” or “Hot Whiskeys” in Ireland) are hot mixed drinks, typically made with brown liquor, water, sugar, and some spices. Not only is it tasty, but it is also believed to have some medicinal properties, making it a go-to choice for those feeling under the weather.

We decided to whip up a batch of Hot Toddies using the classic recipe and added some star anise as an extra garnish on top of the traditional lemon and cinnamon sticks. Both anise and cloves are the perfect options if you want to mix a little extra spice in your drink.
