The Margarita has been a part of North American drinking culture for around 75 years, and in that time there have been plenty of variations on the classic cocktail. From frozen to flavored to sober AF, there is no shortage of riffs out there. Even Paul McCartney has a recipe!
Even with all those options, we wanted to put a KegWorks spin on this staple drink. We took a look at some of our more unique cocktail ingredients, and came up with some non-traditional Margaritas that are perfect for Cinco de Mayo or the next time you throw a fiesta.
Honeydew Jalapeño Shrubarita Cocktail Recipe
Yield: 1 Cocktail
Ingredients
- 2 oz Reposado Tequila
- ½ oz Lime Juice
- ¾ oz Element Honeydew Jalapeño Shrub
- ¾ oz Agave Syrup
- Rimming Salt and Lime Wedge (for garnish)

Prepare glass by rimming glass with salt and filling with fresh ice. Add first 4 ingredients to shaker with ice and shake until chilled. Strain into glass and garnish with lime wedge.
Frozen Mango Margarita Cocktail Recipe
Yield: 1 Cocktail
Ingredients
- 1 ½ oz Silver Tequila
- ½ oz Orange Liqueur
- ½ oz Lime Juice
- 2 oz Alain Milliat Mango Nectar
- 1 Cup Ice
- Rimming Salt & Lime Wedge (for garnish)
Glassware

- Cocktail Jigger
- Glass Rimmer
- Blender
Instructions
Prepare glass by rimming glass with salt. A first 5 ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into glass and serve.
Hibiscus Margarita Cocktail Recipe
Yield: 1 Cocktail
Ingredients
- 2 oz Silver Tequila
- 1 oz Lemon Juice
- ¾ oz Agave Syrup
- 5 Dashes Hibiscus Flower Water
- Hibiscus Flowers (for garnish)

Instructions
Add first 4 ingredients to shaker with ice and shake until chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe glass, and garnish with a hibiscus flower.
