Ingredients:
2 bottles of inexpensive red wine (one cab, one merlot)
½ cup brandy (you can use gin)
2 fresh squeezed oranges
1 fresh squeezed lime
1 fresh squeezed lemon
2 cups of halved red grapes
1 lemon for slicing
1 lime for slicing
1 orange for slicing
1 apple for slicing
1 L ginger ale (you can use club soda)
1 tsp fine bar sugar
Mix:
Pour the 2 bottles of wine and ½-cup brandy in a glass pitcher. Squeeze the 2 oranges, 1 lime and 1 lemon into the pitcher. Cut grapes in half and add them to the pitcher. Slice the apple, orange, lemon and lime in thin slices and add 5 slices of each to the pitcher. Add the 1 tsp fine bar sugar.
Brew:
Chill in fridge for 24 hours. Make sure to cover as wine and fruits absorb scents from other foods in the fridge.
Serve:
Wine or pint glasses are ideal for serving. Add ice to the glass and fill ½ of the glass with ginger ale, fill the rest of the glass with the sangria. Take some of the fruit from the sangria and garnish the glass.
Drink:
Get hammered! Make sure to eat the fruit, as this is where all the alcohol is absorbed. You can get drunk just from eating the fruit.
