Bar Foot Rails

From Concept to Creation: How KegWorks Crafts Custom Bar Foot Rail

This is a quick primer for anyone who’s ever wondered how KegWorks creates its uniquely fabricated custom bar rail projects.

Not every bar is created the same, and because of this, KegWorks offers custom rolled tubing for bar foot rail to meet the design needs of any project. Our highly talented team of fabricators takes information from the technical drawing of a bar design and uses it to bend tubing to match the specified measurements precisely. In addition to our metal bending prowess, we’re pretty adept at finishing metal products, including sourcing custom finishes, for just about any architectural metal project.

When it comes to custom architectural metalwork for the hospitality industry, one area that KegWorks loves going “for the W” is professional sports stadiums and arenas. You can find our bar rail in facilities that are home to teams in the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL. One of the newest names on our “roster” is the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA, which will be the home of the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers starting in 2024. We were honored to fabricate a custom bar rail to be installed inside the arena’s featured bar.

To get an idea of this project's scope, here is a video from the Clippers that shows a rendering of the Orange Club bar area where this bar rail will be installed.

In the following series of videos, KegWorks VP of Commercial Sales Mick Whipple details the steps required to create the project, from the initial fabrication to preparing the final package before it was shipped to the customer. First is a brief introduction to the project from Mick.

Next, Mick takes you through how our fabricators use information from a technical drawing or plan to create our custom radius bends for bar rail and other architectural metal projects.

With our bar rail tubing expertly bent and formed, it’s off to be powder-coated along with the brackets and components. Mick details how the Matte Black finish is applied to the bar rail tubing and fittings.

With the tubing fabricated and finished, the final step for our custom bar foot rail is preparing it for assembly before it heads out to the door to the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA. Mick Whipple breaks down the process our fabrication team goes through before packaging any order.

KegWorks prides itself on the level of detail and service we provide our customers. Let us work with you for all your architectural metal needs, whether bar rail, drink rail, brass pipe shelving, or any custom project you can think of. Contact us today to start your custom quote!
