Installation & Care
How to Install Foot Rail
Stainless Steel tubing is sold in standard sizes of 2’, 4’, 6’ and 8’ lengths. We can also cut custom lengths to fit your specific bar dimensions. For commercial installation, we recommend a bracket approximately every 36". Brackets should also be placed at every joint to ensure stability. Caring for Brushed Stainless Steel Foot Rail
Brushed Stainless Steel can be treated with a simple warm water and vinegar mixture 2-3 times per year to best maintain the finish. Brushed Stainless Steel hides imperfections in the bar rail over time better than Polished Stainless Steel, and will not need to be wiped down as regularly. If you’d like to maintain the quality shine of your brushed stainless steel, regular use of a metal cleaning spray will maintain the shine of your bar rail while protecting it from rusting. Just apply on any brushed metal surface with the spray and wipe clean with a soft cloth.
Caring for Polished Stainless Steel Foot Rail
Polished Stainless Steel can be treated with a simple warm water and vinegar mixture 2-3 times per year to best maintain the finish. Polished Stainless Steel can be cleaned with a metal polishing product, such as Maas Metal Polish or Cape Cod Metal Polishing Cloths. Polishing products should not be used on brushed or satin metals. Polished Stainless Steel is the finish most susceptible to fingerprints, oxidation, and tarnish. For removal of rust or discoloration, coat the rail with a mix one cup of water and one tablespoon of baking soda and gently scrub off stains to avoid damaging the finish.
