Installation & Care
How to Install Foot Rail
Brass tubing is sold in standard sizes of 2’, 4’, 6’ and 8’ lengths. We can also cut custom lengths to fit your specific bar dimensions. For commercial installation, we recommend a bracket approximately every 36". Brackets should also be placed at every joint to ensure stability. Caring for Brushed Brass Foot Rail
Brushed Brass hides imperfections in the bar rail over time better than Polished Brass, and will not need to be wiped down as regularly. If you’d like to maintain the quality shine of your brushed brass, regular use of a metal cleaning spray will maintain the shine of your bar rail while protecting it from rusting. Just apply on any brushed metal surface with the spray and wipe clean with a soft cloth.
Caring for Polished Brass Foot Rail
Before installing your Polished Brass rail, apply non-abrasive car wax for a long-lasting shine. Re-apply at least 3 times per year for the best results. Polished Brass can be cleaned with a metal polishing product, such as Maas Metal Polish or Cape Cod Metal Polishing Cloths. Polishing products should not be used on brushed or satin metals. Polished Brass is the finish most susceptible to fingerprints, oxidation, and tarnish.
