I don't know about you guys, but most of us here at KegWorks are suffering from straight-up plague action; incessant heavy coughing, wicked sore throats and stuffy, miserable noses seem to be the norm as of late.
All I can think about is mixing up a classic Hot Toddy. I've got some bourbon already so I just need to grab a few other ingredients and tonight, hopefully, I'll have a bit of respite from this horrid nonsense. If you're feeling even half as sick as I am, you may want to write this down:
2 oz bourbon or brandy
1 Tbsp honey
1 c hot water
1 tea bag (black or green, your choice)
Slice of lemon, for garnish (if you dig it)
Heat the water in a tea kettle. Coat the bottom of your mug with honey. Add your liquor and lemon juice to the honey. When your water is ready, steep your tea bag until tea is at your desired flavor. Add the steaming tea to the honey, liquor and lemon juice you've already poured into your mug. Toss in a slice of lemon, if you like, and enjoy.
Repeat as desired, until you kick that head cold.
Cheers and be well, my friends!
